South African Airways (SAA) sells two former Airbus 340 to a new German operator

The Airbus A340 has been a mainstay aircraft in the construction of South African Airways' (SAA) long-haul network. Over the years, the South African carrier has operated twenty-three units, -200, -300, -600 variants. To date, only one of the type remains in service.

Sierra Leone hires Turkey's SUMMA Airports to carry out first airport certification

Since the Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority (SLCAA) took office in 1988, Freetown International Airport (FNA), the country's only international hub, has never been certified.  This has affected the credibility, safety and security of flight operations at the airport.
