Air Peace programme ses vols vers la Chine et l’Inde ce mois de juillet, voit Tel Aviv sur
Air Peace wants to make Nigeria a preferred gateway for passengers travelling between Africa and Asia. Based on the Boeing 777 long-haul fleet, the private carrier is actively preparing the inauguration of its services to Guangzhou (China) and Mumbai (India).
Air Peace will open two new international routes this month. In a statement issued on Tuesday 5 July, spokesperson Stanley Olisa said the airline will open a route to the port city of Guangzhou with one flight per week from 13 July. During the same month, Air Peace will also launch 2 trips per week to Mumbai, India. These frequencies will increase according to demand.
"Guangzhou and Mumbai are not new grounds for Air Peace, as we have operated a number of special/evacuation flights to both cities in the past," says Mr Olisa, "Air Peace is firmly committed to reducing the burden of air travel for Africans, and we will continue to develop our route network and strategically upgrade our fleet," he adds.
He also confided that "plans to launch from Tel Aviv, Israel, are moving ahead at a rapid pace. "It's not a new destination for us either, as you know, we have been operating flights to the country. The Air Peace communications manager also recalled that the company plans to fly to Malabo in Equatorial Guinea, and Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In March 2022, Air Peace opened a route to Niamey (Niger), after having opened the route to Douala (Cameroon) a few months earlier. After only seven years of operation, Air Peace has a network of 20 domestic, 7 regional and 2 international destinations, namely Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Johannesburg (South Africa), launched in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
The airline intends to build its regional network around its Embraer E195-E2 fleet. It has already taken delivery of five units from its firm order book of 13. According to the ch-aviation fleet module, Air Peace also has eight 737-300s, five 737-500s, two 777-300s, one 777-200ER, eight ERJ145s (assigned to its younger subsidiary Air Peace Hopper) and one Dornier 328-300 VIP. The company introduced two Airbus A320s under a lease agreement with SmartLynx Airlines Malta.
