The agreement, structured as an ACMI arrangement covering Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance, saw the Boeing 787-8 positioning to Entebbe International Airport in early March 2026. A team of 43 Ethiopian Airlines crew members accompanied the aircraft to operate the services on behalf of Uganda Airlines. Notably, the Dreamliner will fly under Uganda Airlines' call sign and flight numbers, maintaining the carrier's brand presence on these important routes.
