Namibia/South Africa: The Oranjemund/Alexander Bay Border Post has been re-opened

The Oranjemund/Alexander Bay Border Post, which connects Namibia and South Africa, has been re-opened today (01 March 2022).

The border post was closed since March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. During the closure of the Oranjemund/Alexander Bay Border Post, travellers were forced to make a 800km detour (South Africa) and use the Noordoewer/Vioolsdrif Border Post or the Ariamsvlei/Nakop Border Post to cross the border between the two countries.
