Emirates Expands Premium Economy to Kolkata
Emirates is expanding its Premium Economy service to Kolkata, India, starting July 18, 2025. This move offers enhanced travel options for passengers on the Dubai-Kolkata route and opens exciting opportunities for African travel agents seeking improved connectivity and premium travel experiences for their clients.
Initially, Premium Economy will be available on EK573 (Kolkata to Dubai, four times weekly) and EK572 (Dubai to Kolkata, four times weekly). African travelers can now connect seamlessly through Dubai to Kolkata in enhanced comfort, experiencing Emirates’ signature premium service.
The Premium Economy cabin offers a significant upgrade from standard Economy, featuring wider cream leather seats, increased legroom, adjustable headrests, deeper recline, and raised leg rests. This provides a more comfortable and private travel experience, ideal for longer journeys.
In-flight dining in Premium Economy includes regionally-inspired dishes served on Royal Doulton china with stainless steel cutlery. Passengers can also enjoy an extended beverage selection, including premium wines and exclusive refreshments.
